Restaurant reservation system
The story of a project with no code yet, exactly as it should be.

This is not a traditional case study ending with a finished app. It shows what happens before development begins and why this may be the most valuable phase of the entire collaboration.
The client came with an idea for a reservation app serving a specific type of restaurant. He had seen the problem in practice. We could have approved the idea, issued an invoice and started coding, but instead we paused development before it began.
The most expensive code is code nobody needs. The only way to discover that early is to ask the market before building.
“We do not let a client spend on development until the concept is validated.”
This principle applies to every project. Correcting an assumption at the idea stage takes days. Correcting it after months of development can cost thousands of euros or the entire project.
From idea to business plan
Free consultation
The client came with an idea for a reservation app serving a specific type of restaurant. He understood the problem but had no software-development experience. We reviewed the idea from a business perspective: who would use it, why and how it could make money.
Pause before development
Instead of a quote, the client received advice he did not expect from a development agency: do not build anything yet. First, validate whether the market really wants the app while validation is still inexpensive.
Customer interest test
Following our recommendation, the client tested the idea where future users already spend time: Instagram. Real posts and real reactions replaced assumptions made at a desk.
Restaurant outreach
A reservation system is a two-sided market. Without restaurants, the app has nothing to offer. The next step was direct outreach and first-hand validation of restaurant interest.
Monetization and business plan
Demand was confirmed on both sides. Only then, with evidence in hand, did we design the revenue model and build the business plan.
Next step: MVP
Development will begin with one core feature: reservations. Additional features will follow only when real demand calls for them, avoiding feature creep and speculative work.
We are not revealing the specific restaurant segment or concept details yet. We protect the client’s idea as carefully as we would protect yours.
What working with us looks like from day one
If you bring us an idea, we do not start with an invoice. We start with questions: Who will use it? Why? How will it earn revenue? If the answers are missing, we help you find them inexpensively, just as we did here. Development begins only when it makes business sense for you.
