How much does a mobile app cost? 2026 price ranges
In Slovakia a mobile app costs anywhere from a few thousand euros for a simple web (PWA) app to tens of thousands for a native product with its own backend. What decides the price is feature scope, number of platforms, backend and integrations — not the number of screens.
Below are the indicative bands we work with at Grow-App. They are the same numbers as in our budget planner, where you can build your own estimate.
Indicative prices by type of solution
From–to ranges. The final quote is prepared once we set the scope in a free consultation.
| Solution | Indicative price | Time | When it fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| PWA / web appindicative, quoted individually | 1,990 – €4,990 | weeks | Browser access is enough; no stores, no push on iOS, no hardware. Fast idea validation. |
| MVP app in Flutter (iOS + Android)one codebase for both platforms | 4,000 – €9,000 | months, two-week cycles | Most business and startup apps. App Store and Google Play presence, notifications, offline mode. |
| Native app (Swift + Kotlin)two separate codebases, usually the highest investment | on request | longest development | Maximum performance, deep hardware integration, platform-specific features. |
| UX/UI design and prototype | 1,200 – €3,500 | before development | From key screens to a complete design system. A necessary foundation for every app. |
| Backend and server infrastructurefrom managed cloud to AWS architecture | 400 – €4,500 | alongside development | Sign-in, data storage, admin panel, integrations with company systems. |
| App Store and Google Play release | 1,149 – €1,999 | 1 – 3 weeks | Certificates, accounts, screenshots, review and basic ASO. |
| Management and maintenance (App Care)monthly, 3 tiers | 299 – €1,490 / month | ongoing | Updates for new OS versions, crash monitoring, small changes and growth. |
Prices exclude VAT. The PWA band is based on our web app price; a PWA is not a planner item and is quoted individually. Native development is always quoted individually.
What drives the price most
- Feature scope — every feature is design + code + tests + maintenance. An MVP with a clear goal is always cheaper than "everything at once".
- Backend — managed cloud (Firebase / Supabase) vs. custom server vs. scalable AWS architecture — the price difference is a multiple.
- Integrations — payment gateways, maps, e-commerce, CRM, accounting or legacy company systems (SAP, Kros…) increase scope.
- Number of platforms — Flutter covers iOS and Android with one codebase; native means two projects.
- Design tier — from basic screens to a prototype with user testing and a design system.
- Testing and security — developer smoke tests, QA on real devices or automated E2E tests with monitoring.

Why do you show from–to ranges instead of a fixed price?
Because two apps with the same number of screens can differ in price several times over depending on backend and integrations. Ranges give you a realistic picture before the consultation; the exact quote comes once the scope is set.
Is a PWA really cheaper than a mobile app?
Usually yes — it is one web codebase with no store publishing. The trade-off is weaker push notification support on iOS, limited hardware access and no App Store or Google Play presence. If you need those, a PWA ends up costing you more.
How much does maintenance cost after launch?
We offer App Care in three monthly tiers (the range is in the table above) based on reserved developer capacity, response time and monitoring. Without maintenance an app eventually stops working on new iOS and Android versions.
Can I start with a smaller budget?
Yes. We recommend starting with an MVP with a clear goal, or even earlier with a Pitch Design or clickable prototype that validates the idea with customers or investors before development.
Are Apple and Google fees included?
No — you set up the Apple developer account (annual fee) and Google Play account (one-time fee) in your own name so that you own the app. We help with the setup.
