Why finishing an unfinished app can be better than starting over

Every mobile app project is an adventure filled with expectations, plans and ambition. Yet not every project reaches the finish line. A team may run out of energy, the budget may stretch too far or the company’s priorities may change.

At that point, founders and managers face a difficult question: should they finish the existing app or abandon it and start again? We have worked through this situation with several clients at Grow-App, and our experience is clear: in most cases, building on the existing work and bringing the project to completion is the better choice.

Starting over means repeating every phase: analysis, planning, design and programming. That can add hundreds of hours and thousands of euros.
